Where do Cambridge Harriers train?

Sutcliffe Park Sports Centre is the main athletics track used by Cambridge Harriers, located in Sutcliffe Park, Eltham Road, Eltham, London, SE9 5LW.

Our clubhouse in Bexley is the administrative headquarters and meeting place for Cambridge Harriers. Our road, cross country and fell runners meet there to go on road and local woodland runs.
What nights do Cambridge Harriers train?

Cambridge Harriers club track training nights are held on a Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

Training times of the various training groups vary - you will be notified of the relevant start time.
What should I/my child wear and bring for a training session?

Wear trainers and comfortable sporty clothing appropriate for the weather conditions.

Bring a suitable drink (non-fizzy).

Bring a waterproof and/or warm clothes as required (it can get very cold and windy on the track!).

If I'm particularly interested in a specific athletic event., what should I do?

We have specific groups dedicated to the various events, you can indicate your event preference on our club enquiry/contact form.
Do I need to achieve a specific standard to join?

No, we cater for all abilities.

I think I have broken a club record, but it’s not updated on the club website. What should I do?

As volunteers, unfortunately, we cannot trawl through the results of every member at every competition to identify records. If you think you have broken a record please submit a club record claim form.
Where can I find my unique England Athletics (URN) number?

You can find your EA number on your club membership profile.
When should I wear my club vest?

Your club vest, crop top or T-shirt should always be worn when you compete for the club,

You may also choose to wear it if you compete at an open event.

You may also wear your club kit for training if you choose to do so.

How do I get my club vest?

Club vests are stored at the track at Sutcliffe Park Sports Centre.

Speak to either Mick Bond, Christine Bond (Thurs. only) or your coach at training, they will provide you with your vest.

Other items of club kit such as crop tops, T-shirts, hoodies and coats are available to purchase.

I'm a club member, why do I have to pay to train on the track?
-
The track is owned by the Royal Borough of Greenwich and managed .on their behalf by Better.

The club does not hire the track for club nights, if it did club membership fees would be considerably higher.

Better offer a range of payment/membership options (Gym and Leisure Centre Memberships | Better) which for members training on the track multiple times each week can workout cheaper.
