Norman Park, Bromley Sunday, April 11 2021
With the latest phase of Lockdown-easing enabling a return for track & field competitions, 15 keen club members turned up at a buzzing Norman Park on a cold and breezy afternoon for a line-up of events from 600m to 3000m as well as Javelin and Pole-vault.
Main highlights were PBs for Abigail Richards and Amelia Lawrence, both in the 1500m races, with Abigail just missing out on dipping below the 5 minutes milestone by less than a second!
There were also some brilliant performances over 3000m. Iris Williams and Evie Ravenscroft were stepping up to the distance for the first time. It was also David Worden's first outing over the distance whilst Holly Dixon and Matthew Preston set new markers for the season.
Mia Harris, Inez Rice, new club member David Poungui, Roderick Cookey-Bresi and Wole Odele completed the track turnout in the 800m series of races.
Katie Marsh was our sole field competitor, and managed to pull off a respectable 38.12m with her 4th and final throw after 3 consecutive no-throws in the previous rounds.
