Club cross country training day

Updated: Oct 9, 2020

An age gap of 60 years separated the youngest from the oldest in this preseason cross country training day. The number (10 in total) turning up on the day was a little disappointing, but those that made it seemed to have had an enjoyable days training. It also provided a good opportunity for the various age groups to mix and get to know each other a little more.

The morning session consisted of 900 meter repetitions over an undulating course. This was followed by packed lunches back at the club house before the afternoon session began. The first of two was an up and down hill session over a distance of approximately 300 meters. After a short break the day concluded with a relay, in teams of 3, over a course of just under 400 meters in length.

It is hoped to organise another training day at some point during the cross country season. It would be good to see a bigger turnout next time. Watch this space for details.
