Sabrina went into this championships more confident than last week. She was also selected to be the Kent Schools Captain, a huge honour, especially as she is a year out of age and we all expected it to go to an older athlete. She was told to take the first lap steady and not to take on the pace as everyone expects her to do and to surge at some point on the second lap. She started to overtake the leader on the hill in the second lap and decided to keep on the momentum opening up a 20m lead. She continued upping the pace to open up a significant lead bringing her home to victory.
Unfortunately ESAA don’t take any senior teams to SIAB so she won’t be going to the home international in Scotland.
