Luke Okosieme added 1cm to his pb with a 2.01 clearance to win the Kent indoor champs and cement his 2nd place in the UK rankings. Ayanna henry also pb’d in the U17 Women’s event with a third attempt clearance at 1.60 to take silver medal. In the Shot there were more pb’s with Abi Stewart taking silver in the Under 15 event with 10.44 and Micky Ashong bronze in the Under 17 women’s event with 10.62m.
On the track Shiann Brock Walters smashed through the 8 second barrier to win the Under 17 Women’s 60 in a time of 7.93 whist there were seconds for Wade Thompson in the Senior men’s event (7.12) and Daniel Rajis in both the Under 15 boys 60 and 200 (7.42 and 24.37).Jade Fitt ran 59.5 to win her heat of the Under 20 women’s 400 only to be DQ’d for breaking too early so wasn’t able to contest the final. Over 800 Molly Hawkins beat both the other competitors from Kent and Hertfordshire to win gold in 2.29.89 and in the Under 15 1k walk Alex McHeath won the boys event in a championship best of 4.37.42 and Hannah Hopper won the girls event with 6.10.91.
