ALLIANZ PARK, HENDON

Kacey Walters, Lucy Marlow, Peter Wishart and Wole Odele were the quartet of Cambridge Harriers who made the difficult trip to a very windy Allianz Park on the day after  thunderstorms and lightning strikes had brought a temporary respite from the prevailing heatwave. Kacey was the busiest on the day, running, jumping and throwing (3 events) whilst Peter competed in the shot and Discus. The strong wind meant performances were down across the board, but on a day when most sprinters were losing about half a second in the 100m, Kacey's 14.85s into a 3.6m/s headwind, to get within 0.1s of her PB, must be the pick of the performances.
