We took just one team to the Reigate Relays this year, regulars David Reader, Clem Dixon and Christian Poulton being joined by new member Tarbo Fukazawa who was running in a Cambridge vest for the first time.
David ran his fastest leg for many years (albeit on firmer ground than usual) to leave us in 13th after the first leg and although Clem then lost us a few places, Tarbo, who might have had our fastest leg of the day had it not been for an unruly shoelace, made them back up. Christian ran last, showing no ill-effects from having run a 2:54 marathon six days earlier, and made up one more place for us to finish 12th (from 37 complete men’s teams).
