SABRINA WINS BRONZE AT SOUTHERN CROSS COUNTRY

Sabrina Sinha claimed the club’s only medal when she produced a strong finish to claim third place in the U20 women’s race at Parliament Hill on Saturday. With the drier than usual conditions Sabrina was always near the front but was caught towards the end to slip off the podium but her strong sprint got her back up to third. In the same race Lara Atkinson was 47th with second claim member Ella Newton 17th.

In the U13 Boys James Barnes had a duel with fellow Kent athletes to finish 15th with Gervace Card 171st and debutant Jake May 287th. James’s sister Ailbhe was the second Kent athlete home in 32, U15 Girls. Another debutant Abigail Richards started strongly and eventually finished 92nd, U13 Girls. Bayley Massey came through after a steady start in the U20 Men’s race to finish 29th with Joshua Olawunmi 37th. Toby Evans led our U17 men in 117th with Benjamin Tynan 187th. In the U17 Women Hannah Hopper was 147th and in the U15 Boys Thomas Carbin came 227th.
