Another nice evening with some star Cambridge Harriers! In the 200m Susan Dixon gained another PB while sister Sally just outside hers in the B string W35, Carol Marsh ran her first 200m in the W50’s filling in a gap which meant Susan had to drop an age group again, at least for this event Ros got to complete in her own age group with a fast 2nd.
In 1500m Cara cautiously managed an injury free run testing out the calf she pulled at the last match, it was a good start, she survived to complete another day! Susan Dixon not far behind got her second PB of the night despite running in the younger age group. Sally Carr did the 1500m but there has been a little confusion on the times so waiting results! In the W50’s it was Ros Tabor who defies age, 2nd place and looking very strong.
On the field, Xanine Powell did not disappoint, a win in the W35 Shot but more so, pleasing to have her personality & guidance adding strength an already strong fielder a long side Jenny Agyepong who got 2nd in the W50’s Shot.
Jenny & Christine on the Javelin with little, well no practice really! Christine throwing between jumps over at the Pole Vault where she came 2nd . It seemed the club had done well this night but unfortunately, it was a serious of foot injuries spread out between several athletes which meant the walk …. Well walked really! We had no one in it – this time round anyway!
Reminder, next match is at Dartford Monday 2nd July 2018 – will you be there?!!
