Saturday saw the final league meeting of the season as the seniors bid for promotion in the Southern Athletics League. Unfortunately for the third year running we just missed out on promotion finishing fourth in the division with just the top two teams going up. The final match saw us get out our best tam to date but we were up against a formidable Guildford side who had all their big guns out and we had to settle for second and another year in Division 3. Best performances of the day came from Katrina Cosby who got women of the match award with her 62.00 400 hurdles and Esther Jackson who beat her own U17 club record in the Triple Jump with a leap of 11.76m. One men’s side Craig Lacy, who has been a great asset to the team this season won 3 out of the 4 throws whilst Luke Okosieme got back to 2m in the high Jump then added a useful 12.80 to win the Triple Jump
Next Club Track event Kent Relays on Sunday 22nd September at Gillingham
