Lee Valley Hurdles Fest, Lee Valley Athletics Centre (Mon. 31st May)
Cerys Daniels (U17) and Amirat Mohammed-Hassan (U17) both secured new PBs over the hurdles. Cerys recorded 13.40s over 80m whilst Amirat clocked 49.24s over 300m.
BIGish Jumps and Throws Fest, Bedford (Mon. 31st May)
Two of the club high jumpers were in action in Bedford, both equalling their seasons bests. Luke Okosieme (U23) with a jump of 1.99m and Kacey Walters (U17) 1.71m.
Tonbridge AC Open inc. Kent 3000m Race Walk Championships, Tonbridge School (Tue. 1st Jun.)
The clubs race walkers came away from Tonbridge with three individual golds. Luc Legon retained his senior men's title with another sub-13 minute clocking of 12:56.71. It was double gold for the Hopper siblings with Hannah taking the U20 women's title in 15:24.41 and Christian the U17 men's race with 14:14.12. There was bronze for Mark Ashby (M55) in the senior men's race in his first competitive walk having made the switch to race walking due to injury that prevents him continuing to run.
UK Youth Development League (Lower), Sutcliffe Park (Sat. 5th Jun.) - Report from Mick Bond
The club’s Under 13/Under 15 team made a solid start to their YDL campaign. They finished 3rd of five on the day with a number of strong individual and team performances.
Under 15 Boys: Daniel Nyong ran PB’s to win the 100m (12.09s) and 300m (39.12s) with the 300 time putting him contention for English Schools selection. Joshua Baker showed his versatility finishing 2nd in the 80m hurdles (13.02s), 1st in B string shot (9.34m) and 2nd in the A string discus (22.96m)
Under 15 Girls: Keziah Olaleye had double PB's winning the 75m hurdles in 12.17s and then finishing 2nd in the 100m in13.01s. Faith Assah did equally well with a 100m PB of 13.14s followed by another PB in the 300m with 43.22s. In the 800m both Abigail Richards and Amelia Lawrence knocked time of their previous bests, finishing with 2:25.44 and 2:26.21 respectively.
Under 13 Boys: Josh Wellings had a strong debut running 3:58.01 in his first 1200m with Henry Reynolds running good back up to to win the B string race in 4:13.52. Michael Bridge showed good promise with a 23.54m in his first javelin competition and was backed up by Elijah Olaleye with a throw of 19.18m.
Under 13 Girls: Iris Williams suffered from stitch in her 1200m, so was outside her PB but Sofia Pawa took 7 seconds off hers running a time of 4:17.36 in the same race.

World Athletics Continental Tour Gold Level, Hengelo, Netherlands (Sun. 6th Jun.)
Daryll Neita showed that she is in great shape in Olympic year, recording a PB for 100m of 11.04s finishing third behind Blackheath's Dina Asher-Smith (10.92s) and Nigerian Blessing Okagbare (11.02s). Daryll's time was inside the British Athletics qualifying mark of 11.15s and bettered her own club record of 11.12s, established in Doha (QAT) in 2019. Daryll will have an opportunity to book her place on the British Olympic team at the British Championships at the end of June.
