Jungfrau Marathon, Interlaken, Switzerland (Sat. 7th Sept.)

A bucket list event for Graham Maynard, consisting of the usual 42km but with 6000 ft of ascent, which he was pleased to complete in 5 hours 37 minutes.

SEAA Fell Running Championships, Ventnor, Isle of Wight (Sat. 7th & Sun. 8th Sept.)

These championships are a longstanding institution with many familiar faces coming back year after year, reports Clem Dixon. There are of course no mountains on the Isle of Wight but there are many steep hills and racing three times in two days is quite a challenge. We were down on numbers this year but we had two newcomers, James Floyd (No 28) and Jon Wilson (No 92) joining regular Clem Dixon (No 21), hopefully they will be back for more.

The three that we had ran all three races so we had a team and against all expectations it was a team good enough to take bronze medals, there was an additional bronze for Clem in the M60 age group.

Full results can be seen here.

Celia Allen, Meredith Cummins & Sophia-Rose Bonnar took bronze in a time of 7:38:0s, with Sophie Floyd, Isabel Brand & Celia Yeatman 4th in 7:44.7s.

The 4 x 200 squad of Nia Thomas, Uchenna Adigwe, Jayda Renae McKenzie & Victoria Erinfolami) won their heat in 1:50.05s, placing fourth in the final with 1:51.9s.
