Our ladies decided to upgrade the great Friday with a stupendous one by winning the 1st team prize, the team comprising Hayley Newman who ran sub-70, Rose Baker who also was first female W65 despite starting late and Chantelle McGinty who is preparing for the marathon this week.

Despite no team prizes, our men ran well with Liam Carr, Mark Penny and Anthony McGinty placing in our top three.

Mick Elsmore, Maria Macdonald and Ian McCarthy placed well in the 65-99 category and hope to one day win their category when they reach three figures.

It was a gorgeous day on the south coast and crème eggs were enjoyed on the green before the Harriers ventured off for their Easter break. (Results)

Our annual pre season fixture had its biggest entry ever with 216 athletes signing up, though to be fair this did include a smattering of seniors this year, reports Mick Bond.  The weather stayed mainly dry despite some threats of thunder storms and it was great to see wave after wave of light blue vests coming down the track, as athletes fought it out for bragging rights at the start of the season. As well as over 140 club athletes there were also 70 potential members having a go and team managers were on hand to talk to parents and promote the benefits of club membership.
